Week 4 Review

Week 4 review

Kevin vs Smith

Honestly, there was nothing Smith could’ve done in this situation... Joe Mixon decided that he was going to make up for lost time. Beating a near 40 burger is difficult and without a Adams it was always going to be an uphill battle. Smith’s team looks more consistent than most teams but Kevin could possibly be trending in that direction.

Josh vs Tyles

Josh breaks the 100 mark just barely with a complete whiff on the WR play. Tyles took a hit having an emergency bye for the Titans and Steelers but in reality that match up could’ve been costly to his RBs. Tyles really have issues with depth and a complete lack of consistency with players who rely on catching the ball. Josh obviously trends up where Tyler is not.

Jake vs Naughton

Naughton has gone from bad to worse... Naughton is now without both of his starting RBs but seems to be very calm for someone who has a severe lack of startable players... Jake has issues but he’s got enough depth for it to most likely not be an issue. I see trades being made from both teams sometime this week.

Cubby vs Matt

Oofta... a lot had to happen in order for this to go towards Matt winning but it did. Matt Ryan and the falcons are just not good at football. 20 pts for Jones and 0 for Ridley. We are all aware that cubby needs wins now more then most because of his sizable investment but it might not be as dire as we once thought. Tough match up but cubby is making the best out of a bad situation. Matt continues to be consistent.

Drew vs Russ

Similar to the last match up a lot had to happen in order for me to win and it just didn’t. A clear TD wasn’t called a TD and Matt Ryan avoided getting picked... It is a bummer that I’m sitting here at the bottom of the table but we did a vote yesterday and the consensus is out of everyone in the league who is in the worst position and Ross won the vote. Drake is one week away from bust material and Jacobs doesn’t look great... we have a match up in week 13 and honestly, i think it’ll have playoff implications.

Week 4 comparisons... Famous Football quotes.

Tyles: “When you try me with a sorry receiver like Crabtree that's the result you're going to get”-Sherman
Tyles is not going to win anything with sorry receivers and out of everyone maybe barring Naughton it’s the worst receiving corp.

Naughton: “Playoffs? Don’t talk about playoffs” -Jim Mora
Your first 3 picks are out with significant injuries... and you don’t talk about it.

Russ: “If what you did yesterday seems big, you haven't done anything today.” -Lou Holtz
I woke up today and Russ was still bragging about his win and still trying to offload his junk (1st and 4th round picks for my 3rd)

Josh: I'm supermean on the field. If my mom was out there, I'd run over her." -Michael Bennett
I think Kamara is running over all of our moms...

Cubby: "Thanks for... uh... accepting that hit?" -Rob Ninkovich to Andrew Luck
Cubby has taken the hit of taking on an injured CMC for a undetermined amount of time but he’s definitely happy about it.

Smith: “I love me some me.” -TO
It’s good to love yourself but Smith is closer to TO than we thought, they both lost in the Shiva(super) bowl.

Matt: “I’m travelling to all 51 States to see who can stop 85” – Chad Ochocinco”
Matt is a formidable opponent but like this statement is only slightly flawed.

Jake: “I know I’m going to get got, but I’m going to get mine more than I get got, though.”-Beast Mode
Jake being Jake knows he’s not going to win the shiva but he going to do his best to get there.

Kevin: “I'm going to Disney World!”-Champions (various)
3 Shivas definitely allows him to have this quote.

Drew:

Im coming for blood. Second half starts now.
